Yesterday’s meeting with Glen from Marsh Farm Outreach was great. He was excited to meet us, and even more excited about their project. He not only spoke with us for nearly 4 hours, but gave us a tour of the building and scheduled us a meeting with Tony, the director of the Marsh Farm Community Trust. We also met Helen, who is meeting with us about Health in the Marsh Farm Community when we return.

HI

I will go to site on Tuesday with Lefteris to earn some time credit by paiting wall (or something) from 10am to 2pm in Clapham Park TB. After working there we will use our time credit for 1 hour for interviewing them.

The day after tomorrow, Wednesday, we will visit there to meet up Karen Lyon who is the network organiser for the whole of the London Time Banks in Clapham Park TB. I suppose we gonna use rest of time credit with Karen.

networked cultures

Hello,

I just wanted to drop a line to say how today went at NEF. We had quite a long meeting with Karen, the head of London Timebank. Although not about the Luton project, she had experience with what she called, ‘knitting’ networks. She was excited to answer our questions, and had first-hand experience on how direct, person to person networks formed in Timebank began to stretch farther.

I got some nice ideas around alternative forms of education from her, which coincides with my work from before.

I also made a meeting with Tim for Wednesday morning–he wants to explain what NEF specifically does to all
four of us. Additionally, we are pencilled in for Tuesday to head up to Luton with Dowon.

I also got some contact details for glen in the office in Luton, so when i’ve figured out when i have questions, i have an outlet. (tim also offers his help if i have any general questions….)

thanks,
korey
